Nature of Services

PolicyBrief provides policy research and intelligence services. We deliver AI-augmented policy briefs with credibility-verified sources to help legislators, corporate policy teams, and government relations professionals make informed decisions.

Our briefs are designed to provide actionable intelligence on legislation, policy developments, and regulatory changes affecting South Africa.

Subscription Terms

By subscribing to PolicyBrief, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Subscriptions are billed monthly unless otherwise agreed.
• You may pause your subscription at any time without penalty.
• Unused briefs do not roll over to the following month.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual Property

Upon full payment, you own the copyright to the policy briefs we create for you. You may use, share, and distribute these briefs within your organization. However:

• You may not resell or commercially redistribute our briefs.
• PolicyBrief retains the right to use anonymized insights for improving our services.

Confidentiality

All research requests and deliverables are confidential. We do not share your briefs, research topics, or strategic interests with other clients or third parties.

For enterprise and party headquarters accounts, we offer formal NDAs upon request.

Limitation of Liability

PolicyBrief and its affiliates, employees, and agents shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services.

Specifically, we are not liable for:

• Political, business, or legal decisions made based on our research.
• Outcomes of debates, votes, or policy positions informed by our briefs.
• Third-party actions or reactions to information contained in our deliverables.

Our briefs are provided as research support and intelligence gathering. Final decisions and actions remain your responsibility. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific service rendered.

Source Verification Disclaimer

While we verify sources using our credibility framework, we cannot guarantee the absolute accuracy of all third-party information. We clearly indicate confidence levels and source quality in each brief.

Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice. In case of termination:

• You receive all briefs completed to date.
• Active requests in progress will be completed.
• Prepaid subscription fees for unused months are refunded within 14 days.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
